Sleeping Dog Bed and Breakfast in Seattle’s Jackson Place neighborhood is in the perfect location for those coming to the city from the Sea Tac Airport and other surrounding areas. We provide an ideal lodging alternative to large, impersonal hotel chains, and our amenities rival any hotel in the area.
1. Do you have stairs?
Yes, as the inn is on a hillside with panoramic views of downtown Seattle, Puget Sound, and the Olympic Mountains. All Guests must be able to climb stairs; we are available and happy to assist you with your luggage.
2. Is smoking allowed?
We are sorry, but we strictly enforce our policy of NO Smoking inside the inn. You may, however, smoke outside on the front deck.
3. Do you have pets?
Yes; we have a bulldog named “Mojo” and a Himalayan cat named “Sasie”. Our animals stay in our private living quarters, but can come up to say a brief “hello” if you would like to meet them.
4. Do you allow children or pets?
As much as we like children, our main house is not set up to accommodate small children less than 13 years of age.
5. What time is check-in? What are your hours for arrival?
Our normal check-in time is from 4-6 p.m. If you arrive in Seattle before 4 p.m., then simply call us ahead of time and we will be happy to let you check in early, if the room is ready. If you know that you will be arriving after 6 p.m., or there is a problem with your travel plans, a courtesy call to us would be appreciated so that we can give you the late check-in procedures if necessary.
6. Is there a place to park?
Standard neighborhood street parking is always available for our guests’ cars.
7. Where are you located? How far are you from downtown, from the airport?
The Sleeping Bulldog Bed and Breakfast is located just 10 blocks from the International District and sports stadiums, which are easily reached in 20 minutes if you walk. We are approximately 30 minutes from the Sea Tac Airport by car.
8. When do you change the room linens?
Upon check-in you naturally will find fresh, clean room linens. As part of an ongoing regional effort to conserve water, we change the linens every fourth morning of your stay.
9. Does your B&B have air conditioning?
Yes, the Sleeping Bulldog Bed and Breakfast is equipped with a heat pump and air-conditioning for comfort during both warm and cold seasons. All rooms are also equipped with ceiling fans for additional air circulation.
10. What do you serve for breakfast?
We offer a full breakfast, which always includes fresh juice, coffee and tea. Our meals consistently have fresh fruit, a warm dish, and at least one type of fresh muffins. We also offer assorted cereals, yogurts, and breads. Please let us know if you have any special dietary needs, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
11. Are you near public transportation?
We are fortunate that Seattle has one of the best public transportation systems in the nation, and many transportation options are convenient to our inn. In fact, your Innkeeper is a retired transit operator and a native of Seattle with a wealth of knowledge about the transit system; he can direct you to almost anywhere by bus.
